  • Formulation Cost Profiler

I’m looking to make an interactive tool whereby I can examine the effects of ingredient level and cost on goal formulation cost.

My data table is currently: ING Name, ING cost, ING inclusion level, ING cost per formulation (which is a formula of cost * inclusion level) and a final formula column for total cost.

I’ve tried to use fit model to get the profiler to give me an interactive way of changing...

  • Graph Builder Axis Box Background Colors Based on Value

For timeline/Gantt Chart visualization purposes, I would like to set different background colors on the Y-axis Axis Box based on the value inside.  For example, for "Category", I would like the "A" axis box to be one color, "B" to be another color, etc... I'm wondering if there is a Scripting option that could realize this.   In "Properties", there appears to be only one Background Color available...

  • Loop the derivative function in JSL

Hello JMP user community, I have been struggling for quite some time with a JSL function and wanted to reach out to see if some of you may be able to help.   So, what I want the script to do is basically take a formula expression from a polynomial regression model and then build the partial derivatives with respect to each contained factor. Ideally, it would create a list of all the factors conta...

  • Change the table that a FilterColSelector points to

Hi everyone.  I'm curious if there's a way to change which table a FilterColSelector display box points to.  I have created a gui with an FCS that points to the current data table.  If the user wishes to change the table they're working with, I'd like the columns in the FCS to reference the new table instead.  The only way I can think of atm is to delete the current FCS in my window, create a new ...

  • JMP 19: Change Default Column Search to "Contains Terms"

I just upgraded to JMP 19.  Now every table that I open I have to click the little drop down box next to the Filter text box on the column pane and select "Contains Terms" instead of "Contains Phrase".  How can I change the default to "Contains Terms"?

  • Question about factor coding conventions in Fit Model Platform

Hello Community, I'm running Fit Model to analyze contributions of both nominal and continuous factors in a system.  I'm getting different parameter estimates (and significance) between JMP and Python.  I understand that his might be related to how the nominal factors are encoded (Effects coding (default in JMP) vs. Dummy coding (default in Python).  I've been trying to find a path for selecting h...

  • F Ratio Calculation Before Entry under the Combine Rule

In stepwise regression using the Combine rule,
could you please help me understand how the F ratio for the child effect (Material B–C) is computed before it enters the model?
In my results, this value is F = 0.103779 (as shown in the screenshot). It doesn’t seem to match the F ratio that would correspond to the larger of the two p-values mentioned in the JMP documentation —
    that is, the joint probabi...

  • WINDOWS > JMP 17.2 > Custom Report Window > Save Presentation ==> Only portion saved to PPTX

Hi JMP Community, I built a simple report with a graph builder plot, a multicolumn text section, and a summary section (see below)  that I would like to export to PowerPoint. While I can save this report as a PDF without any problems, when I save it as a Presentation/PowerPoint manually or within the script, JMP generates slides that only contain the plot section and none of the text (GO GENES and...

  • How do I get z-scores for each protein in the Longitudinal dataset? (JMP Pro 18 Free Student Edition)

For context, I am running analyses on a proteomics experiment. I have two datasets: Intraday (comparing AM to PM), and Longitudinal (comparing Day 0 to Day 30 to Day 90) for protein concentration. For Intraday, I have 600 proteins I am looking at. For Longitudinal, I have 68. I want to find out the magnitude of change between the time points for each protein, so I am trying to find z-scores. I am ...

  • SPC Sampling Rate Determination

I am trying to determine an appropriate sampling plan for a manufacturing process which has a dimensional in process control (a length). There is a USL and LSL with a target. Cpk and Ppk are both coming in at >2 on a sample size of >2000 units across two mfg. lots.

We sampled at a rate of ~5%. I’m trying to figure out what the minimum sample rate is to ensure quality (95/95 confidence coverage). H...

  • Moving Box Smoother (Graph Builder)

I'm using the moving box smoother in JMP 19 graph builder and can't seem to find any definitive documentation on how to interpret the 2 shade gradations surrounding the smoother curve. Are these confidence bands? If so is the lighter (wider) the 99% band and the darker (narrower) 95%?
