  • JSL and DOE[] platform for custom design, can you conditionally 'Add a factor' based on the value of a variable from a modal window ?

Hello, I would like to create  a script, where based on some previous input variable, the DOE[] object is messaged to work with one additional factor. The DOE design generation is now heavy to run (about a 30sec), so I am looking for a lean way (e.g. tweak it before sending the 'make design' message).Ideally i would like to work with an if clause, checking if a said boolean variable is true and if ...

  • Opening a graph in a project also opens up a new datatable

I recently switched to JMP Pro 16 and have been playing around with Projects. I have encountered some annoying behavior that I haven't been able to fix. Let's say I have a Project which has as Contents a single Data table called "Test". I open this Data table and create e.g. a Distribution of some of its contents. The Workspace now shows that I have this Data table called "Test" open, and undernea...

  • How to make axis consistent across pages

Hello!  I am working on generating a large number of graphs, which we have separated by page in Graph Builder.  I cannot find a way to get all of the axes consistent across all the pages however, and have resorted to changing each axis individually.  Is there a way to lock in the axis ranges? Thank you!

  • Surface Plot: Automating the Display Editing

Hi, I have a large set of data that has 231 unique samples (labeled as RunID) that has a set of X,Y,Z values for each of the unique samples. Using the graph "Surface Plot" tool I then create a 3D plot for each of these 231 runs which brings up 231 graphs in a new window. I want to modify the display of this so that the style is a surface and then modify the surface to display continuous gradients....

Hi,I have a jmp script that offsets the test results based upon the reference data table values. It will:1. Read data table and reference data table2. Generate a new window to select site number, 3. Based on the user input (Site Number 1 or 2), align those data to the reference data table values Take mean by wafer Id, apply the offset to the main data tableHere's the script: It doesn't produces exp...

  • Choosing the RNA-Seq modeling parameter

JMP Genomics provides three options for the ANOVA modeling parameter in the RNA-Seq Basic Analysis workflow: Poisson, Generalized Poisson, and Negative Binomial. How does one decide amongst these options? Also, I can never seem to get the Negative Binomal to work. I get the error below on various data sets: ERROR: NEWRAP Optimization cannot be completed

  • How to transform least square means from Turkey table after box cox transformation

Hello Everyone, I am running a three-way ANOVA with data expressed in percentage, but the data set is not normal. Since I have zeros, I first add a constant 0.00001, then I fit the model, and in the least square fit window, I used the box cox transformation to do a better fit. I know if I ask to save the predicted values, it will save the back-transformed data, but is there an option for JMP to sa...

  • JMP Pro, Dantzig selector: how do I improve computational time

Hello JMP community members. Concerning the use of the Dantzig selector on big and sparse datasets.I wondered what features would be at disposal to tune the computational time.Right now it takes about 40 minutes to get a result back for a problem with 380 rows and 149 non-singular parameters. This makes me wonder about the options available to tweak the computation time. I was thinking about redu...

  • JSL Script Creates New Taskbar Icon When Run

Hi All, I have what seems to be an odd problem. I've created a JSL script that launches a window through which a user can select some options and then run scripts to pull data from various sources. The odd thing that is happening is that when one of these scripts is run it causes all subsequent JMP windows to open under a new taskbar icon. An example for clarity: 1) User opens jmp. There is 1 icon...

  • Choice model platform and marginal effects?

Hi everyone,I have used the choice model platform to design and analyse choice experiments. However, at the analysis step, there are some parts of JMP platform output that are not clear, and I wonder if you can provide an answer:It is not clear how marginal effects are calculated in JMP.More specifically, how do we obtain marginal probabilities from marginal utilities since neither the utility fun...
