  • Partition and Pruning

I'm working with a dataset of about 27,000 rows and am trying to use 9 factors to predict a response using the partition function and a decision tree.  I'm using both k-means and validation.  When I tell JMP to Go, it will split 100-200 times, however the Split History shows me very little improvement after about 20 splits. For what I'm trying to do, I want to back up to the 20th split, but I don'...

  • How to eliminate the first duplicate row?

Dear community I have a question and that is how to eliminate rows with the first duplicate. Example NrDateCount45672017-01-21155552017-02-03155552017-02-10287452015-03-10183452016-05-01195632016-01-02195632016-01-102 Is there a script how to, in this example, find the duplicates that I have marked here with bold text and either eliminate these rows directly or create an additional column where it...

  • JMP 12 - 'Window List' window bug?

Does anyone know how to 're-attach' the 'Window List' window in JMP12?  (Windows 8) Mine has somehow become 'de-attached' and when I choose to click its upper right hand "x" for closure, it does nothing.  My main JMP window is unresponsive as all of the focus can only be given to de-attached 'Window List' window (which means I cannot use JMP menu's).  When I right click on the 'Window List' window...

I would like to verify the 95% CI for a case as below in the table. 95% Confidence Intervals for the True Rate at all Possible Observed Rates within a Subgroup (n=15)Observed Rate Lower Bound 95% CIUpper Bound 95% CI5/150.1520.723 I used JMP Analyze/Distribution and got the correct Lower CI (0.151763 which verifies 0.152 in the tabl...

  • Fitting model to ordinal factors and response

Hello, I have such a diagram and want to figure out the equation which produces it:      One can imagine it as a 3-dimentional space with color responces for every S/U/D combination.I filled S/U/D into a JMP table to fit (some kind of) model but realized immediately, that the response in color code (e.g. 1 for green, 2 for yelow and 3=red) doesn't make much sense. To my understanding, the equation...

  • I want to use LASSO and Group LASSO in JMP

I'm involved in a project where we are applying lasso to build a logistic regression model from a "black box" set of predictors.  I need to get JMP Pro before trying out JMP's implementation.  I'm doing all the analysis in R at present.  Does JMP Pro also include group lasso?  I've found through using JMP Cluster Variables (CLUSVAR) that I can naturally group my predictors prior to group lasso.  F...

  • Mean separation letter from test slices

    Hello!

How do I get the mean separation letter in for each level of a factor when interaction is significant? For example, if I have A*B interaction and I want to get the mean separation of B at each level of A, how do I get the LSD letters in JMP? I can do test slices and that will use the DF of the full analysis, but this does not shows which mean of B differs. If I do multiple comparison: How ca...
