  • One-tail vs. Two-tail tests

    Hi,

I am doing the means comparison using one-way ANOVA in Jmp. When I look at the detailed report, I see the p-values for both one-tail and two-tail t-tests.
However, the comparison circles seem to display according only to the two-tail confidence levels. The same about LSD (least significant difference) - it is calculated only for the two-tailed test.

Question: can I change it somewhere so that one...

I have variable collection.date, in m/d/y format, and I want to create another variable, yr, by extracting year from collection.date. I have tried using the year function in a formula but haven't had any success. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

  • How to show full column name when it is too long?

    Hi,

I have a table, each of its columns usually is assgned with a prettly long name for easy interpretation.

So after I generate or load it into JMP, each time I have manually adjust each column to make sure
its full name can be shown properly.

But this is too annoying when columns are too many.

So if I can control its display by JSL, any idea I can make this automatic column width adjustment?

  • JMP Calculator

In JMP we can do calculation using the JMP calculator.
The parameters in the formula are the columns table, attached is a simple formula subtracting y column from x column with LAG,
What I want to know is if there is a way to use different lag for different rows.
    ((Lag( x, 2 ) - :y) / Lag( x, 2 )) * 100

    Thank you
