  • Bar chart with data table

I need to create some graphs like the one shown in the picture below (Excel). What is important is that the bar groups are displayed with the individual data.I know that I can chart a bar graph and then insert a table below it. But wouldn't it be difficult make it look as nice as the Excel version. What would be an alternative solution that works just as good visually?Any help is greatly appreciated...

  • Simple "Duplicate Column" method

Can anyone think of a simple way of duplicating a selected column in a data table? Basically, I'd like to select the column, and get a "Copy Of" with all the attributes, values, etc. right next to the original, in a single menu item click. Doing it by adding, moving, setting types, copying values etc. is a pain. I suppose it could be scripted as an Add-In but I was hoping that there was a simpler ...

  • Test for homo/heteroscedacity in JMP

Hi, I'm trying to check for homo- or heteroscedasticity in a least squares regression model. I can subjectively examine the residuals, but I'd prefer to additionally report a p-value, such as one generated by the White test or the Breusch–Pagan test. I cannot find documentation of how to do this in the JMP help or documentation, or on the web. Should I save the residuals, square them, and then run...

  • More on subset creation

Hi, I am referring to the post https://communities.sas.com/message/166376#166376 from May this year. The example explains how to create a new data table by 1) first adding af data filter, and 2) then subsetting:dt = Open ( BigClass);dt << data filter (add filter(columns(:age),where(:age=={12,13}), Mode (select(1)));sub1 = dt<<subset(output table name("regions"),selected rows(1), selected columns (0...

  • JMP 11 Mac vs. Windows vs. Parallels

My PC is about to bite the dust, and our office is increasingly mac-centric.  Before I make that leap, I wanted to get some insight on JMP for Mac vs. PC.According to , JMP 9 for Mac lacked: - Menu customization- Database connect by JSL (maybe this is a MacOS problem, not JSL )Have these been updated for JMP11?There's a significant fee for changing from the PC to the Mac annual license (nearly do...

  • JMP 9.0 (Docking Windows)

    Hi all,

I just upgraded from JMP 8.0 to JMP 9.0. I am very annoyed by ver 9.0 in which, when I open multiple datasets, they all open in a seperate window. While, in JMP 8.0 I was able to have all the tables/graphs/plots docked in a single window and I can open each file by selecting them in the "window list".

So, how can I revert back to JMP 8.0 dock settings.

    Thanks!

  • How to look up a value in a cell.

Can I assign a value to a variable using a database, a column, and a row?My script, at present, opens a timestamped database of information for my system.  I add a column that declares the last row when a certain valve was open.  I can use Col Max to find the latest overall point when that occurs. I'd like to assign a variable for the Timestamp when that occurs.  Of course I could just make a new ...

  • Best method of analysis of multiple dependent variables in JMP

I need a predictive model for two response variables (that are dependent on each other) and multiple independent variables.  I'm not very statistics-savvy but am comfortable with multiple regression; however, I'm not sure of the best way to approach a problem with multiple dependent variables.  I've been studying some of the approaches (MANOVA, MANCOVA, multivariate multiple regression, structural...

  • How to do a clean uninstall of JMP9 on a Mac?

Wondering if this is as simple as dragging the application package to the trash.  The OCD in me would like to also get rid of associated library and preference components.  The manuals and online resources don't give any direction.  And since I have JMP10 installed, I don't want to rip out resources shared with the new version.
