  • Scripting a JMP Journal

Hi,I've looking everywhere, but I can't seem to find anything about scripting a Journal. I've been able to make a journal by hand, but I want to incorporate a Journal script with my current script. My current script does a lot of data analysis and saves all the graphs as PNG files, which I then drag and drop into the Journal.I've tried to just append the window that the graph is in to the Journal,...

  • How to update data table in script with new column created

I'm new to using jmp and I'm trying to create a script that creates a new column with formula then plots the new column to a histogram. I've got the script below. It's working but it's giving me an error that "The data table has changed. The output no longer represents the data. To sync the output with the data, select 'Script>Redo Analysis' from the Distribution menu."So basically when the script...

  • Saving a filter definition as a new column

Let's propose that I need to create a new group of consumers from my dataset and to be in this group they have to meet specific criteria from more than 1 column/variable (i.e., females [from the gender column] who also have a low income [income column] ).   I want to be able to then save this as a new column/variable and be able to use this new column in various tables going forward (for instance ...

  • Printing List of Columns (variables?)

Just checking to see if this is available...Is there a way to print out the entire list of columns/variables in a study (with short and long names) for reference?  With a very large database, it can sometimes be difficult to navigate through the list and could be handy to have an entire printout if available.  Thanks!

For example, I will I want all the rows with 12-Nov-2015 to come in red color and rest in black color. I want to use similar conditions to color code my data for better representation. I am using this simple code ...dt =...

  • Graph Builder heat map: how to share the same scale for all years?

HiI want to show the spread and growth of the population over time and space. I’m using Graph Builder to map population density (see below). I can produce quite nice heat maps but the density seems to be calculated separately for each year. Is there a way to share the same scale for all years so the colours will have the same meaning across maps?Thanks.C.B.

  • Finding a relative path in a network

I would like JMP to pick up a "template-table" from the same directory that the script is located. This pathway may vary depending on user due to network setup (for example for me the disk is named K but for other users it might be named L or N). I've managed to use the following "fixed" link:TempTable = "K:\...\TableTemplate.jmp";open (TempTable);(this setup works)the data table is located in the...

  • Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab

Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...

  • Generalized Segmented Distributions

A former classmate of mine from Graduate School has recently published a paper on Generalized Segmented Distributions.  Utilizing this method, the distribution can approach any continuous density function of arbitrary form.  The method is particularly effective in fitting data with sufficient observations that are skewed and/or multimodal.  The paper can be found here:The General Segmented Distrib...
