  • DSD question on Blocking at 4 blocks vs 3 blocks

Hi,Designed a DSD experiment with 5 factors in JMP15.  Can only run 4 conditions at a time.  So added 4 blocks with center runs to estimate quadratic effects.  Expected a design with 4 conditions per block and a total of 16 conditions.  Instead, block 1 & 2 have 5 conditions, and block 3 & 4 have three conditions.  Tried to repeat or play around the setting still cannot get 4 conditions per block....

  • Column Custom Formula

I would like to add a new column 'Vth' in my table with the following calculation:-First I need to find the index i of column 'Id' where the 'Id' is nearest to 1e-6; and then Vth = Vg(i). It should be grouped by Mod and Device columns as well. That is, each unique combination of Mod and Device will have one Vth value. IdVgModDeviceVth2.00E-0631AX1 2.00E-072.81AX1 2.00E-082.61AX1 2.00E-092.41AX1 2....

Each item/option in the combo box myListbox is already a column name in the data ta...

  • Data subset indexing tips

I have a bunch of concatenated test runs output that have columns:  time, position, speed, etc. ... and time goes from 0 to some number, e.g. 50, then resets to zero and starts up again. I'd like to make a new column, setid, that indexes the sets, so the first set (time 0-50) gets a "1" in the setid column, the second set (time resets to 0...) gets a "2" in the setid column, etc. Is there a smart/...

  • XPath Query() and XML namespaces

I have a bunch of XML documents that I want to put into a data column. I want to use XPath expressions to pull out values from them, by appending columns that contain formulas that make use of the XPath Query() function. Some of my documents have XML-namespace qualified element names. For example, one might look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <synopsis xmlns="http://www.cap.org/...

  • bin each row based on date time

I often need to bin each row based on the date time. However, this is kind of troublesome for the data time. let say I am binning based before 7/22/2020 12:00:00pm as Good and after as bad. I can use the IF formula logic to compare the date time to 7/22/2020 12:00:00pm. But to do that I need to convert to the numeric value of 3678264000. if there any quicker way to do this? thanks

  • How can the minimum value of the specified column corresponding to each category be greater than the number of categories of a certain value?

For example, according to "Big class.jMP"
    1. First, categorize by age.
    2. Determine the minimum "weight" >90 for each age.
    3. Figure out the number of age categories that meet the second condition. So it turns out the number of ages is 3. How can I use JSL to solve it quickly? Thanks!

  • Using JMP to Calculate Surface Flatness

Has anyone used JMP to calculate the Minimum Zone surface flatness of a point cloud? I have some differences between two metrology areas for our surface flatness requirements and wanted to check them in JMP. There are different algorithms for doing the calculation. (There is an ASME standard for the general rule, ASME Y14.5: " a tolerance zone defined by two parallel planes within which the surfa...

  • [JSL Contour Plot] Method of define contour plot, number, minimum, maximum

The contour plot is very helpful to show 3D map, however the problem of defining the zone is always a trouble. In my typical jsl plot, I use something below to define the contour plot zone number = 8, maximum = 1.4, minimum =1. However, the table column :Length may change time to time, and the scale will have to be modified manually for each corresponding plot.   Does someone have experience how t...

  • Impact of screen resolution on html output

Hi, I'm preparing a dashboard using jmp that will be used for a daily meeting. It contains information in form of data tables and text boxes. In order to transfer text sizes and colors for the text as well as the data tables into the html output I transformed them into pictures (rep = dt << get as report(); pic = rep << get picture(); ). I set up all font sizes on my external monitor and it worked...
