Hi all,I have been able to generate the baseline numbers with the tool using variants of forecasting models - ARIMA and smoothing models and automate that part as well. But I am very keen on knowing if JMP/ JSL allow causal forecasting. If yes, then how? Please help.Regards,PG

  • Is there any way to capture data from Internet with JSL, including hyperlinks

PMroz has the right idea though some pages may require logging in or use background requests (AJAX) to pull in data after you navigate to the page. For those, it's better to use File > Internet Open and change Open As: to Web page. After that, you can login/click hyperlinks, etc and use File > Import Table As Data Table... when you reach the data. From there, you can click through more links like ...

  • Logistic regression parameter estimates opposite of expected

    Hello All,

I am a JMP newbie and to learn about JMP, I've been re-analyzing some of my old data using JMP. When I run a logisitic regression model with an ordinal dependent variable (0 or 1) and a continuous variable as the independent variable (a number between -0.5 and 0) the parameter estimates I get are numerically opposite to what I would expect. The parameter estimate for the independent vari...

  • Read-only JMP table

    Hey,
Does anyone know how to make a JMP data read-only? I would like to make sure that the data in the JMP table cannot be modified. I've seen that there is a Lock Data Table option, but that can easily be unlocked so I am interested in another solution please. Many thanks in advance. Kriss

  • oh my - so many different methods to calculate percentiles

http://www.amstat.org/publications/jse/v14n3/langford.htmlGosh - I did not realize there were so many different ways to calculate percentiles! I just noticed my results from Excel (formula =percentile (array, percentile) and JMP (quantile plots and data) differed, and that led me to the above website, which identifies about 12 or more different methods! I am at a bit of a loss, for I often use res...

  • nonparametric equivalent to two-way ANOVA?

Hi all,I have data that does not transform to fit assumptions of normality and homoscedasticity needed to perform a two-way ANOVA. I have found information on how to run nonparametric tests that are the equivalent of one-way ANOVAs, but can't find a way to do a two-way nonparametric analysis. Suggested tests (from an online search) are Cochran Q and/or Friedman's test. Not sure if there is some ot...
