Open Multiple Text Files [SOLVED]
How do I open multiple text files? I tried to use the Open command to create a template for which columns to include, and to specify where the data begins, but I can't figure out how to pass in the file list. Any suggestions?

JMP and Flow Cytometry Data
Does anyone use JMP to work with their Flow Cytometry data? We use FlowJo to analyze data but would like to use JMP to graph and summarize data. I have been asked to find out if others are doing this as well. Any references to papers that show the use of JMP would be helpful as well.

Johnson su distribution
JMP reports the following parameters with respect to a fitted Johnson su distribution 1) shape (lambda), 2) shape (delta), 3) Location (BETA), and 4) Scale (sigma).
I would like to use the Johnson su distribution in the discrete element simulation program EXTEND6. EXTEND6 does accommodate the Johnson su but requires the following parametric inputs 1) Lambda, 2) Gamma, 3) delta, and 4) Location.

Saving the prediction formula to an existing column?
Hi,
I'm a new JMP user. I have several prediction formula saved to columns, and other columns linked to those. Now I want to update the formulas (many) in the original prediction columns with the new regression formula. Saving the prediction formula seems only possible to a new appended column. I suppose I could copy the formula from the new column and paste into the original column, but it's tedio...12885 views | 11 replies -
How to determine if a data table is already opened?
This is how I used to do it before JMP 8:
tableIsOpen = Function( {tname}, {dt, rv = 0}, Try( dt = Data Table( tname ); rv = 1; ); rv; );
This does not work in JMP verison 8 because DataTable function will open a file dialog if the table is not opened already. User can always press "cancel" but it's annoying.
Thanks for any help.

Normalizing Data to Average of a Particular Condition
Hi. I have a dataset that I would to normalize, and I would like to know the best way to go about it. The data table is structured (for our purposes) as three columns: subject number, experimental condition, and reaction time. There are five different experimental conditions. I would like to normalize the reaction time for conditions 2, 3, 4, and 5 to the average reaction time for condition 1 for ...
