Exploring sample size for one sample variance

I have a variance I want to set as an upper bound, with a confidence of 90%. However when I try adjusting the variance, it does nothing to change the sample size. I see this issue for any confidence levels below 95%. It works as expected at 95% or above. I attached a screen shot to show that when I adjust the bound it

Hi @FaceDecompPuppy : I am able to duplicate your issue via v18 (I don't know about v19). Looks like a bug to me. I'd contact  support@jmp.com .
