In a ternary 12-run mixture experiment using a special Sheffé model I get only 5% power of the compnents; this means 95% chance that component effect can't be observed? Are power calculations in mixture experiments reliable taking into account high collinearity among factors?
Hi All, I'm hoping someone from JMP might be able to provide an explanation as the the differences/similarities of the Simulate vs Bootstrap approaches when evaluating model estimates. (JMP Pro) Some links to previous Discovery Summit presentations from Gotwalt and others can be found here, here, and here. One clear difference between the methods is that Simulate requires you to swap out a col...
Hello everyone,
I am writing to ask for advice on designing an experiment to optimize a somewhat complicated chemical reaction. Here is what it involves:
A substrate (1.0 eq) reacts with a mixture of two reagents called RA and RB.
The total amount of RA and RB is always 0.5 eq.
The proportions of RA and RB vary within the mixture of these two reactants.
RA varies from 38% to 62%, and RB also vari...
Hello everyone, I’m learning regression and have some questions about variability. Suppose I want to study the impact of a factor X on a process response Y. The regression results suggest that moving from condition level A to B of X changes Y by about 10%. However, I also know that the process itself has variability — for example, even at the same condition level of X, Y might fluctuate by around ...

I'm on JMP Pro 18.2.2 and have noticed that the Effect Test table differs substantially between the Generalized Regression platform and Fit Least squares (and also all other platforms in JMP) when there is an interaction term. This is true even when the design is perfectly balanced. The Generalized Regression platform generates sums of squares that depend on the parameterization of the factors. ...
Hello, I have a factor with three levels and I am trying to create a design in which this factor levels are not equal in any given block. So for instance, Factor A should not have the same level repeated in any block. How can I do this please? Thanks.
Does anyone have a case study of the use of the Power Explorer for Two Independent Sample Equivalence? Ideally, the case study would demonstrate it's use for scale-up from future pilot line trials to eventual full production. I ask this because there doesn't seem to be an example and/or sample data file on this subject in the JMP Help.
We performed a paired Wilcoxon signed-rank test to compare pre- and post-intervention values. Is there a method or add-in available to calculate the r and Z values?
Hello everyone, I am looking for a solution to remove the crosshair in the Prediction Profiler. Any kind of hack would be helpful, like e.g. changing the transparancy.
Integrating tools like JMP and MATLAB offers a streamlined approach to engineering analysis, making workflows more efficient and reducing the need for redundant script rewriting. By leveraging JMP’s powerful data analysis and visualization capabilities alongside MATLAB’s robust computational tools, engineers can seamlessly combine the strengths of both platforms. This integration allows for the ra...
I have used the interval explorer for parametric reliability life test planning for sample size calculation of accelerated life test. Please can someone confirm if the sample size returned is the total sample size or sample size per stress levels? Assuming I have 3 temperature levels, do I use 75 samples per temperature level or 25?
Hello!I installed a script from a community response regarding the calculation of R²pred, as shown in the image below (I'm using JMP 18 pro): (link da resposta do @erich_gundlach https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Predicted-R-square-calculator/ta-p/39927) In PRESS, R²pred didn't appear. (Press is low because I haven't reduced the model yet, don't worry =)) I really need to show these R²pre...
