  • Multi-grouping GRR analysis JMP equations/statistics with bayesian estimate

Hi,I am trying to reproduce the GRR results in which there is more variance subgroups beyond just operator, and sample variance. e.g subgroup3,subgroup4. With the default 2group operator/sample variance using anova crossed GR&R, i was able to reproduce the results using the anova method following the explanation. https://sixsigmastudyguide.com/repeatability-and-reproducibility-rr/ I noticed a mess...

  • Difference between "least square" and "generelized linear method" in the fit model

Hello Community, There is something that I have not understood between the difference of the results I get when analyzing a small dataset by using fit model with “standard least squares” and then using the Box Cox transformation menu to do a log transformation (λ = 0) versus using the same “fit model” but this time with “generalized linear model”  with distribution “Normal” and link function “log...

  • Pump variable modeling

Hello, I am trying to model variable speed pool pump parameters: runtimes, speeds, and flow rates in order to minimize my power bill, but also achieve decent flow. I've hit a stumbling block with modeling the data.Pump constraints: Max 24 hr run duration, Max of 3 speeds can be used per day, Speed increments are 2 hr blocks (0,2,4,6...24)  Example Pump Data:RPM Flow Power500 17 63

  • How can you rotate annotation text

Hi all, I am trying to rotate annotation text "TEST" using the following and it does not work: Add Text Annotation(
    Text( "TEST" ), {Rotate Text( "Vertical" )} ,
    Fixed Size( 0 ),
    Text Box( {343, 170, 385, 194} ),
    Filled( 0 )

  • DoE center points problem

Hello,  I'm currently designing a DoE with three different factors, two continuous (temperature, time) and one categorical (batch number with 4 different batches). I used the Custom design, D-optimal to design it and with some disallowed combinations. However, I would like to add some runs to my design that are center points and not only the suggested extremities, but it seems like it's not possib...

  • multivariate data with a repeated measures design

Apologies for farming out what is more of a statistics than a JMP question to the community, but here goes: I was recently asked if JMP Pro could analyze a design in which 3,000 analytes are measured in the same individuals over time (one group perhaps receiving a medicine and the other having been given a placebo). The large number of analytes is not the problem, but the fact that this is a repea...

  • how to read the output from Johnson-Neyman plot and floodlight analyisis?

  • Response Screening Effect Size - logistic

Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X.  JMP help shows:  "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test."  Running b...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
