  • Design power

Dear all, I am running a DoE experiment and trying to check the power of my design before starting the experiment. I followed exactly what is written in the JMP documentation, but I don't see the value of the power (screenshot attached)I will appreciate your feedback

  • Can I remove one experiment from DSD?

I want to use DSD to investigate 7 parameters with 24 experiments. However, I can only run 21 experiments or 25 experiments. I have 24 experimental devices, so I want to use all of them. Can I design 25 run, but only run 24? I noticed that if I delete one of runs, I cannot use fit the definitive model. Can I use stepwise method to fit the model instead?  There is another case, how to run the model...

  • DOE: Would a "Top-Down" approach converge on the more conventional "Bottoms-Up" factor analysis?

I am a relative newcomer to the use of DOE in R&D: I'd been a long-time skeptic but have recently come to see the HUGE power that it offers, and have embraced JMP as my tool of choice. In the process of learning how to apply DOE methodologies, I've come to think of its preferred implementation as a sort of "bottoms-up" approach: we start by identifying ALL the factors that might contribute to a me...

  • Desirability

    Dear all,
I performed a DSD for my 8 factors and 3 responses and started analyzing my data using the fit definitive screening design platform. For each of my responses, I have a model and a desirability function for each model.
Is there any possibility of maximizing the total desirability for 3 responses simultaneously,
    many thanks in advance

  • Prediction profiler - parameter operating window

Dear allHope all are doing well. I have a quick question. I am at the prediction profiler step and JMP has offered the parameter conditions for maximum desirability. Monte Carlo simulation was used to test the sensitivity of the model injecting random variations from the normal distribution. Now, I wanted to know how we can find out the normal operating and maximum acceptable window using the pred...

  • Scaled t distribution

Hi, How can I make scaled t distributions in JMP? I am trying to solve exercise problem 5.7 in "Design and Analysis of Experiments - Douglas C. Montgomery" but got stuck at Scaled t distribution. Please advise? Thanks in advance.

  • turkey HSD test from DOE

Hi,I am currently working on 2^3 design of experiment. After Anova, when I am going further for turkey HSD test for each level of factor interaction, the test is not giving me level interaction properly. double level interaction it is giving. eg. Price (low, high) Quality(ok,good). turkey HSD should give price (low).quality(ok) results. But it is giving price(low, high) quality(ok,good) results. whi...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
