  • NonLinear Fit locking parameters

Hello JMP Gurus,I am using the JMP NonLinear platform fit for fitting a 6-parameter model for 2 categories (using By). I am providing reasonably good initial guesses for the parameters.1) I would like to lock 2 of the 6 parameters for a first iteration for easier convergence. How can this be done via JSL?2) I would like to first run with the 2 locked parameters, and after the first "Go" converges,...

  • How to add a .html file to a picture box?

Hi,Here is roughly what I'm trying to do:ob = Outline Box( "OB", hlb1 = H List Box() ); hlb2 = H List Box(); hlb2 << append( Picture Box( Open( FilePath , html )));I understand that Picture Box doesn't support .html, but is there anyway to get this to work?Is it possible to convert .html to .png within JMP script?

  • viscosity curve as response in DOE

Hi, i am running an experiment based on DOE. one of the responses is viscosity cure that is related to formulation rheological behavior.the plots are viscosity Vs shear rate. For different formulations, the plots appear to be a bit different. Is there any way to compare and treat it as response for DOE further analysis?

  • Which design is most appropriate

    Dear all,
I want to perform a DoE in order to optimize the yield of my extraction. I have 7 continuous factors and 1 discrete factor. My idea is to start with a screening design, choose the most important factors, and then continue with the response surface.
I do not know what is the most appropriate way to do the experiment ? which kind of screening design and which kind of response surface are sui...

  • Space Filling Design Output

I have generated a fast flexible space filling design and had a few questions about the output. I was wondering what the discrepancy measure metric was measuring? Additionally, what does the MaxPro column at the bottom of the page indicate?

  • Max Entropy Sampling favors the lower limit

When I create small maximum entropy designs, I get unbalanced distributions for the variables. It's mostly regular and with some extra points at the ends; however, the lower end is sampled much more frequently than any other point. I have tried it many times and attached a few examples to this message. If needed, I can provide more. As you can see from the screenshot above, -1 is sampled must more...

  • What is the relevant output of Equivalence TOST Test pairwise comparison?

Hi,I want to conduct an analysis for comparing two groups with paired samples for similarities (they should be similar). My choice was the TOST Test with pairwise comparisons. My boundaries for no difference were 0.4. The output of the analysis is this:Does this mean that there is no difference between the groups as it says: mean difference 0.4 with p < 0.05 ?Sorry this is the first time I work w...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
