  • JMP Crashing

I wrote a script where if a folder does not exist, then a folder will be created. The path is to a shared network folder. I have modify access to the shared folder and the script works fine for me. However, when a colleague who has only read access to the shared folder, runs the script JMP crashes when it get to the below section of code. JMP just completely closes everything, even the log file so...

  • Stats question/how do I use JMP to determine if a process factor is significant (forgot which module-last did it in 2017)

University student.  I am analyzing data from experiments not designed using JMP, and would like to find out which parameters have significance in affecting the outcome. The experiment stacks 2 materials, and then applies an anneal, so those are my three categorical variables.  For one material I have 2 levels, for the other I have three.  There are 3 possible anneals.  So I guess it's a full-fact...

  • alfa value for rotatability and orthogonal blocking in response surface designs

I noted that when I use the response surface platform of JMP, despite the value of alfa is indicated as 1.414, I get slightly different results of the actual values of factors for the axial levels for CCD-orthogonal blocks or central composite design for example. Why is that? Thanks

  • Why don't I get the All Levels Comparison report in MaxDiff?

I have survey results using the MaxDiff design from a popular platform.  The results below were directly downloaded from the platform as a csv file. From the tutorial, the output of the All Level Comparison report is a heat map.  Why am I getting the below? And for that matter, why am I not getting a proper report?  NB: I have 300+ subjects, 18 choice sets with 5 choices per set, 27000+ rows.  I u...

  • Full Factorial Analysis with added blocking

Dear JMP Community, Initially, I have designed the following experiment using full factorial - 3 factor (2 continuous + 1 categorical) - process chamber being the categorical factor. For the process of concern, it is already known that there will be chamber-to-chamber variation, but all chambers must be operable within a certain specification limit. Hence, the initial decision to include the chamb...

  • Lack of fit for a custom DoE design with hard to change factors

When I use Minitab to build a DoE model with two hard to change factors, I can see Lack of fit evaluation as long as I replicate both whole plot and subplot (Minitab gives me an option to replicate the whole plot and subplot during the design of the model) However, when I use JMP Custom DoE platform, for the same set of factors with two HTC factors, I am not able to see the lack of fit analysis no...

  • Combine full factorial design with surface respone design

Hi, I'm working with clinical mass spectrometry and trying to learn JMP and DOE for optimization of the instruments and methods. Currently I'm working on optimizing the ion source and its parameters, and want to do a response surface design. One of the factors I want to include is the MRM transition in the design (I have 4 candidates). But since the MS instrument is capable of measuring all 4 cand...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
