  • Fitting multiple normal mixture to data

Hello,I would like to get multiple normal mixture fitting to my data similar to what is presented here arXiv:1306.5856 Any thought on how this can done in JMP or JSL? Can I set a lower/upper limit on each peak locations in exchange for, likely, worse fits?

  • Copy File() - network dest doesn't work

Any reason why the below example won't work?  I get zero for the return, which means the file didn't copy and I can see that it didn't copy.  I can manually copy it fine via Windows 10.    Question: does JSL File Copy() not like UNC (I think) network destinations perhaps?     Copy File( "\\mywork1.work.com\folder1\source\test1.csv", "\\mywork2.work.com\folder2\dest\test1.csv" );   File Cop...

  • How do I constrain X3 to 0 if and only if X2 level is 0 in custom design?

Hi All, I am trying to generate a custom design with one continuous factor, X1, and two discrete numeric factors, X2 and X3. The two discrete numeric factors are interdependent such that if X2=0 then X3 doesn't apply. To be specific, X2 is concentration of a molecule and X3 is molecular weight. If I have a molecule concentration of 0 for my sample, then there is no molecular weight because there i...

  • Enhanced Log does not capture action performed within a Project

Hello, I've been playing with the new enhanced log in JMP 16 hoping to streamline some scripting. Not sure why but any action done within a project does not appear to be captured by the log. If the same actions are performed outside of a project, then the log captures them as advertised. This issue was already occurring with the standard log in JMP 15 Is there a way to capture those actions perfor...

  • Status quo levels in discrete choice experiment?

Dear fellow researchers, I am conducting a choice-based conjoint analysis in my research. Within the experiment, I´d like to compare two alternatives to a fixed status quo per choice task. The status quo is modelled as a constant "none-option" and will be estimated as a constant. I am wondering, if I can use the levels which define the status quo also as levels for the alternatives in order to g...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
