Bayesian optimization with categorical variables
Is it possible to have only categorical factors for BO? Or will it be possible in JMP 20? Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with JMP 17.2.0. I am trying to save a JMP report as a PDF with headers and footers using the variables for window title, page number, page count, and current date. In Print Preview, when scaling the report to fit on one-page, the headers and footers seemingly scale inversely, getting bigger while the actual report content gets smaller. In the screenshot bel...
I wanted to change the order of the X Groupings, I could do it using GUI with Value order, but I am not able to do it using jsl, what is right way of accessing all X Group parameters and how to manipulate their order in jsl What are the different boxes mean? Ex: axis_boxes, scale_boxes, Frame_boxes etc?
I'm trying to create a probability plot of data, where three lots are plotted against each other. Something like this:However, I can't seem to get there from the data table. I'm using JMP17.
Hey everyone, Is there an easy way to reverse the order using the Col Score() function? The default is that it scores it by descending order, so if something has the highest value it is given the highest score and the smallest value is given the score of 1. I'd like the highest value to be a score of 1 and the lowest value to be the lowest score. Thanks for any input!

I'm leaving this here if it helps someone. Maybe I'm inventing hot water, but I couldn't find anything similar.
Problem: in general it is not possible to directly access the parts of a function "expression" directly, expression in quotes because it's not really an Expression data type but a Function, thus the usual expression manipulation functions do not work:
f = Function( { x }, Return( x ) );

Here's the script that roughly does what I need, at least visually:
Names Default To Here( 1 );
New Window( "Example",
Graph Box(
Pen Color("red");
Back Color ("Light Yellow");
Text Color( "red" );
Text( Boxed, Erased, {20, 85}, "MyTextHere" );
Text( Boxed, Erased, {20, 75}, "AnotherTextHere" );
)
);
And I need several labels styled just like that.
But I need them left justified - ...
Hi All, I'm a new user of this software. I have the version 18.0. Is it possible to build a spider plot? Many thanks!
Hi JMP Community, I added a text box in Dashboard Builder to provide instructions for users of a dashboard containing a Process Screening report. The text displays correctly in JMP, but after exporting the dashboard as Interactive HTML with data, the text box is no longer visible. The Process Screening report itself exports correctly. Is this expected behaviour? Thanks, Robert

I am looking for guidance on how to perform diagnostics (model fit, model form, assumptions, outliers) of logistic regression models created using the fit model generalized linear model personality. The generalized linear model personality must be used in this case because the data has small sample sizes and complete separation. The only diagnostic plots available in the generalized linear model p...
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a highly efficient workflow I've developed that bridges JMP's data manipulation capabilities with the power of NVIDIA's latest AI models running on their free API platform (NIM).
The core idea is to automate the generation of executable Python/JSL scripts directly within JMP, effectively creating a "content factory" for data analysis tasks.
The Technical Workflow:
Dat...
1. How to get PRESS values in JMP when using PLS2 NIPALS and Leave out One data ? 2. When finding RMS PRESS using hand written code I get matching answers for toy problems using (n-1)*k as averaging factor where n is no. of observations and y is number of responses. 3. But in large problems like Baltic or Gasoline the RMS PRESS was not matching with handwritten code. But coefficients of the...
The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function. Why does it
1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points. You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...
