  • Statistical test for 2 optimums from DOE fitted model

    Hi JMP community,
I have a 48-run DOE with 3 continuous factors, each with 3 levels, and 1 categorical factor, call it material, with 2 levels. I am interested in maximizing my response, let's call it yield, for both material 1 and material 2. Not only do I have strong reason to believe that the 2 materials will produce different yields, but that their response surfaces will be different. Therefor...

  • Change the data filter display in JMP19

Hello,   I am currently migrating an application from JMP 18 to JMP 19. In the process, I have noticed a change in behavior (JSL) regarding the Data Filter. In the application, I create a data filter with many columns (>10). I had gotten into the habit of changing the data filter’s display using the command << n col(3) to spread my more than 10 filters across 3 columns (less visually cluttered). I...

  • Complex Numbers in JMP

I'm trying to work on some Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, which uses Complex Numbers and has a response in the form of a Bode or Nyquist plot. I found a plugin for JMP, but I can't find documentation on it: https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Complex-Numbers/ta-p/22616 I've attached a sample JMP table containing a simple RC circuit with R=500 and C=.001. I want to use JMP to fit the ...

  • Customize Graph Builder: circle does not align with coordinates

Dear all,  I try to draw a circle in Graph Builder via customize Graph, and see, that the circle does not align with datapoints. How can I do better, to have the circle at exact same position in the canvas as the data points? Why does it seem to be ok for y, and not for x? Other ways to accomplish? Thanks and best regards, Georg New Table( "Circle Data", Add Rows( 72 ), Compress File When Saved...

  • Dashboard Builder Text Box Not Visible in Interactive HTML Export

Hi JMP Community, I added a text box in Dashboard Builder to provide instructions for users of a dashboard containing a Process Screening report. The text displays correctly in JMP, but after exporting the dashboard as Interactive HTML with data, the text box is no longer visible. The Process Screening report itself exports correctly. Is this expected behaviour?  Thanks, Robert

  • Custom test using a estimate that is not included, except in the expanded estimates

In "Fit Model" Standard Least Squares, I would like to do planned comparisons involving a continuous variable.  The Custom Test would seem to be ideal, except that it does not include all the estimates (so as to not overfit). However, some of my planned comparisons involve the estimate that is not included in the custom test dialog (some do not). While expanded estimates shows the value, it is not...

  • how do I obtain main effects and interactions effects on DOE result ?

Hello,  i m struggling to obtain DOE results interpretation in a user friendly way, which are the main and interactions effects ? i m a former minitab user for years and would like to get support to interprete easily with JMP  DOE results , this is just an example :   The current DOE for which i m requesting support is a simple full factorial design with 3 parameters at 2 levels Would you please ...

  • How can I identify an optimal stabilizer combination from a complex formulation stability study

Dear All, I am looking for advice on the appropriate statistical approach in JMP to evaluate a formulation screening/stability study. I have developed several formulations of an API solution containing different combinations of stabilizing components (A, B, C, D, E). The formulations have been filled into two different container types, so I would like to evaluate both the effect of the stabilizing...

  • Logistic Regression Diagnostics in Generalized Linear Model with Firth Bias Adjustment

I am looking for guidance on how to perform diagnostics (model fit, model form, assumptions, outliers) of logistic regression models created using the fit model generalized linear model personality. The generalized linear model personality must be used in this case because the data has small sample sizes and complete separation. The only diagnostic plots available in the generalized linear model p...

  • Mass Production of JSL Code Generation via JMP Python Integration Using NVIDIA's Free API (DeepSeek V4 Pro)

    Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a highly efficient workflow I've developed that bridges JMP's data manipulation capabilities with the power of NVIDIA's latest AI models running on their free API platform (NIM).
The core idea is to automate the generation of executable Python/JSL scripts directly within JMP, effectively creating a "content factory" for data analysis tasks.
    The Technical Workflow:
    Dat...

  • PLS2 NIPALS Root Mean Square PRESS

    1.  How to get PRESS values in JMP when using PLS2 NIPALS and Leave out One data ? 2.  When finding RMS PRESS using hand written code I get matching answers for toy problems using (n-1)*k as averaging factor where n is no. of observations and y is number of responses.   3.  But in large problems like Baltic or Gasoline the RMS PRESS was not matching with handwritten code.   But coefficients of the...

  • SPC: Run test 2

The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function.  Why does it

    1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
    2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points.  You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...

  • JMP Live Event Queue Freeze - Jobs Stalling and Event Queue Backlog

Our company uses JMP Live, version 19.0.2 We make use of JMP Live's event scheduler to automatically refresh reports via SQL queries. Typically our data refresh jobs <1 minute to complete with a handful that take 2-3 minutes at most.  However, at least once a week, our scheduled refresh pool becomes "stuck". Data refreshes and reports which usually take seconds to complete instead stay active in t...
