JSL obtaining access to excel file in sharepoint

I have asked the community how I might write JSL code to work around our sharepoint system.  I have some JSL code for getting the "open file" window to open but the field for auto-populating the file name into the file field seems to be a bit weird.  I can put the correct hyperlink into the field but punctuation in the file name is changed.
