Grey Triangle: Edit -> Copy Picture

Hello,

I would like to request that the Copy Picture command under Edit in the grey-triangle menu be moved up one level for easier access. Copy Picture isn't really an edit command so it seems to be misplaced there, in addition to requiring additional navigation.

Thanks and regards

Hello @MShroff, Thank you for your engagement on the Wishlist!

Just to clarify with some pictures:

Your request would be to move the 'Copy Picture' item from the Submenu option under Edit to the Primary Menu option, correct?

Please let me know if I have captured this incorrectly.

In JMP 18 the context menu on graphs has been reorganized. Copy Graph has been promoted to the top-level of the context menu to make it more accessible.

Thanks but this only works for the graph. If I want to copy the whole block, I still have to go through the grey triangle -> Edit -> Copy Picture.

I might be missing something, but it seems that the selection tool (the fat plus sign in your toolbar) can be used to select the parts of the output you are interested in copying.

With the selection tool, one has to specifically format the copied selection as a picture when pasting in PowerPoint. The Edit -> Copy Picture command does not have this issue and one can directly paste the copied picture without additional formatting. IOW, the selection tool is not very convenient to use.

Thank you.
