What inspired this wish list request?
Slowly (but surely) getting more and more frustrated with the user experience of scripting index.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
I would like to see ALL the function groups (is it currently possible to have more than one?) which the current function belongs to and be able to click it. When I click it would then apply filtering based on that.
Let's assume I wish to look for New Window from scripting index
I would like to have a link below New Window which would select from the left list "Display". So after pressing that, I would end up with something like this
Where it would best fit is up to you, but I would be happy with something like this (I added Function Groups below New Window).
Also just auto-selecting Display instead of All Functions when searching could be nice but this should be a preference).
This comes even more helpful if I go to the scripting index from script editor by pressing alt+double click as it cannot do the "group" filtering at all ( ).
Why is this idea important?
Scripting Index is the best documentation for JSL but it can be difficult to utilize.There are many features and tips/tricks which aren't obvious (which is why I wrote this blog post )
