Add Parse Date as a New Formula Column option

It is sometimes safer to parse dates using a new column instead of changing the value in-place using an input format.  See discussion at Tricks to prevent incorrect input date formats from resulting in missing values?. Adding an option in the new formula column to parse that date using a format specified by the user would make this easier.

The platform is also almost there with the JMP16's Custom Date-Time Formatting with Format Patterns Youtube: Custom Date Formatting in JMP 16 . Not sure if you can do it directly with right-click New Formula column (don't have JMP16 on this PC to verify).
