Ordinal Mixed Effects Model still not available?

ljgrimm1
Level I

Hi All,

I'm trying to perform analysis on survey responses with a Likert score (ordinal) as an outcome variable.  Each participant answered multiple surveys so I need to control for random effects at the participant level.  My understanding is that older versions of Jmp could not handle ordinal mixed effects models.  Thread here to that effect.

Are these models still not supported?  Alternatively, I believe I can perform general estimating equation (GEE) based logistic regression but I can't find support for this approach either.

I am using Jmp Pro version 16.

Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Ordinal Mixed Effects Model still not available?

Sorry. It is correct that JMP Pro 16 does not support mixed models with ordinal responses. I understand that adding Generalized Linear Mixed Models capabilities has been a very popular request. So hopefully you will see this in a future version of JMP or JMP Pro.
