Numerical Variable Not Evaluating in List

I am trying to Write() a list with a number variable i inside of it like this

Write({i});

but it prints, literally, {i}, not {1} or {2} or whatever the variable number of i is.

i is most certainly defined and assigned because going

Write(i);

works.

What am I doing wrong?

Re: Numerical Variable Not Evaluating in List

Try addingEval List() around {}

i = 1;
Write(Eval List({i}));
