MFI + Lines To Read

What is the most efficient way to import a single line (row # 2) from multiple files?

What kind of file are you reading in? jmp, xlsx, txt, csv ???

I was surprised that I could not find a post on the topic - not even my first one, argh! :)
So I created a new post.

Later I found the original post and added the link.

 

For my case now, the approach via Open (filename, lines to read(1))  is fine.


Besides this, I hope the wish Multi-File-Import: restrict number of lines to read will collect enough Kudos to trigger development for

  1. MFI(<<lines to read(N))
  2. MFI (<< end of DATA block("\!n\!n"))

    especially #2 will solve a lot of headache with complicated files :)
