JMP Application Builder Inactive Objects

goodmorning,

I am a JMP beginner and have a question.

I am following the tutorial document described here but when I try to use my JMP 15 Pro 15.2.1 (482026) some of the "objects" avaliable in the left "Source Panel" are inactive/dimmed and I can not drop them into the application module workspace.  In particular only these objects are inactive (see attached image file):

• Data Table
• Data Filter (Local)
• Col List Box
• Col List Box (All)

I have already checked with other JMP installations on different PC of my collegues, but they have those objects all "active".

I have also updated from JMP 15 Pro 15.1.0 to JMP 15 Pro 15.2.1 but the problem is still there.

Hi,

Did you look down in the comments in the thread for that tutorial? In particular:

"It looks like as of more recent versions of JMP, you cannot add col boxes unless you have an open data table to populate those boxes with values.  That didn't used to be the case with JMP 13 (version used to make this guide).  Just open up a blank table and those boxes won't be greyed out anymore."
