How to Change Date Grouping in Graph Builder

DJ_Kim_0-1742348836326.png

Hello,

As shown in the image, I would like to group specific data by date. When creating an X-axis group,

the data is automatically grouped at 5, but I would like to group it by month or 2month.

Is there a way to configure this setting within Graph Builder?

Thank you.

Re: How to Change Date Grouping in Graph Builder

There are a couple of options.

  1. Change the format of the Date column in your data table.  If you specify a format of m/y it will group based on the months.  If you specify yyyyQq it will group based on quarters.
  2. You can also right click in the Group area and select
    1. Levels=>Custom Levels
    2. Levels=>Create  Transform Colum

Either of these options will let you options to set the groupings
