Dashboard in JMP Live 17.2 Continuous Local Data Filter Not Interactive

Hi,

It appears that dashboard files published to JMP Live 17.2 can't have a continuous local data filter? It seems just fine with nominal data type filters but says "Not Interactive" for continuous ones. Is there a work around other than changing the data type to nominal and is it planned to have these in future dashboards be integrative in JMP Live? If so When?

Thanks for posting your question. In general, Local Data Filters for continuous data are supported on JMP Live. 

There could be another reason that you are seeing a non-interactive Local Data Filter for a continuous column in your dashboard. 

For example, if you have more than one Local Data Filter in your dashboard, only the first Local Data Filter will be interactive. 

Does your dashboard have more than one Local Data Filter?

In JMP 18 multiple Local Data Filters will be supported.

Yes I have more than one. However, it lets me add more than one if they are both nominal as interactive without issue. Will a future release allow more than one if one is continous?

Yes, in JMP Live 18 more than one Local Data Filter filtering on continuous columns will be interactive.

I don't see how you can have two nominal Local Data Filters be active in JMP Live 17 unless you are considering a single Local Data Filter filtering on more than one nominal column as being more than one Local Data Filter. Here's an image of a dashboard with two Local Data Filters with nominal columns. The second Local Data Filter is not interactive in JMP Live 17.

I hope that helps clarify the limitation in JMP Live 17 and what to expect in JMP Live 18.
