Add Control limits to each group in a variability chart

Hi,

Is it possible to add each parameter its own control limits?

Many thanks,

Merging Y-axis

Select multiple items from the column selector and drop them to Y-axis if you start on empty graph. Or drop them to correct location in the graph Essential Graphing > Graph Builder > Work with Axes > Merge Variables on an Axis

Multiple plot

Hold Shift while you click Line chart from the different plotting types. You can also do it by right clicking and selecting Add or by dragging and dropping them to the graph

Essential Graphing > Graph Builder > How to Use Graph Builder > About the Graph Builder Window

Essential Graphing > Graph Builder > Element Types and Options

As you can maybe guess, this is a good documentation to read regarding graphing in JMP Essential Graphing

Yes it is possible, how to do it depends on your data. Can you provide an example of the data and a script to create the plot you have?

Re: Add Control limits to each group in a variability chart

Hi,

I simply use variability chart of graph builder.

basically, each subject has production results and validation results. Each of the subjects has its own control limits -LCL and UCL.

Thank you,

A.

Re: Add Control limits to each group in a variability chart

Where are those limits stored? In the same table as measurement results with each group having their own limit? Different specification table? In some other data structure?

I assume they are stored in the same table in their own columns.

You can do something like this fairly easily in graph builder by disabling/enabling correct variables (columns) for two separate plots while having the value + limit columns in Y-axis

If you were to move groups to X-group instead of X-axis you can get this

or you can move the X Group edge to bottom

Re: Add Control limits to each group in a variability chart

Thank you.

How do you add both points and line graphs on the same graph?

and how do I make on Y axis for all 3 variables?

Thanks again,
