  • Principal Components (PCA) Formula

Looking at Principal Components in JMP and saving PC1 onto dataset (Principle Components: on Covariances --> Save columns --> Principle Components --> 1 --> Enter ), upon drilling into the formula there is a constant variable added at the end of the equation which in-turn makes most variables in column negative. When performing PC1 in Minitab while using the exact same dataset value, the formula c...

  • Screen Size Issue

I have written a script that includes a RECT and an annotation in it.  On a large desktop monitor, the script works perfectly, however on a smaller laptop screen, the annotation moves almost off the screen entirely.  Is there a way to lock scripts to ensure that my graph looks the same on all monitors?

  • Friedman ranking test, am I doing it right?

Hi, I just discover that this test has been implemented on JMP, and before I found that out, I was doing the rank of my data distribution and then an ANOVA test on FIT Y by X (as described here: Friedman test on JMP? ). I want to know if I still have to rank my data before applying Friedman's test, or if that isn't necessary.

  • turkey HSD test from DOE

Hi,I am currently working on 2^3 design of experiment. After Anova, when I am going further for turkey HSD test for each level of factor interaction, the test is not giving me level interaction properly. double level interaction it is giving. eg. Price (low, high) Quality(ok,good). turkey HSD should give price (low).quality(ok) results. But it is giving price(low, high) quality(ok,good) results. whi...

  • Hover label customizations lost in interactive html export

Hello,I modified the hover menu to display name data from two columns in my data table, however when I exported the result of the Distribution script to an interactive html and move the cursor over a data point I only see the default row and value that is in the un-modified hover label. Can anyone provide some support on how I can retain the customizations in the interactive html export? I am using...

  • JMP Pro, Dantzig selector: how do I improve computational time

Hello JMP community members. Concerning the use of the Dantzig selector on big and sparse datasets.I wondered what features would be at disposal to tune the computational time.Right now it takes about 40 minutes to get a result back for a problem with 380 rows and 149 non-singular parameters. This makes me wonder about the options available to tweak the computation time. I was thinking about redu...

  • JSL Script Creates New Taskbar Icon When Run

Hi All, I have what seems to be an odd problem. I've created a JSL script that launches a window through which a user can select some options and then run scripts to pull data from various sources. The odd thing that is happening is that when one of these scripts is run it causes all subsequent JMP windows to open under a new taskbar icon. An example for clarity: 1) User opens jmp. There is 1 icon...

  • Choice model platform and marginal effects?

Hi everyone,I have used the choice model platform to design and analyse choice experiments. However, at the analysis step, there are some parts of JMP platform output that are not clear, and I wonder if you can provide an answer:It is not clear how marginal effects are calculated in JMP.More specifically, how do we obtain marginal probabilities from marginal utilities since neither the utility fun...
