  • ANCOVA: Interpret the JMP ANCOVA result. (4 possible combination)

Hello all.I am having problem with interpretating the ANCOVA in JMP. Problem 1.Can I use IV as "continuous variable" & "DV as continuous, CV as categorical" ?Since I had read many reference that saying "ANCOVA need IV-categorical, DV-continuous, CV-continuous".It is very confusing, since if IV is categorical, IV and DV relationship can not be defined as linear regression... they are just ANOVA...i...

  • File selector

I am trying to create a small menu that allows you to choose open data tables. Once you highlight the files you want and press a "Add files" button it will expand the existing window in another box showing the file name and two other text boxes in which the user can type stuff into. How can this be achieved?

  • How can I insert a factor that is the result of multiplying another factor with a number?

Hi everyone,  I am a beginner with JMP. I want to create a full factorial designs (DOE) that consists out of a few factors (see image). For the factor "aliquote volume" the minimum value is 25, the maximum is 100.For the factor "solvent", the minimum value shoud be 4 * the factor "aliquote volume", the maximum value should be 16 * the factor "aliquote volume". Does anyone now how I can add the sol...

  • Urgent: covariance parameter estimates are all zero (i.e. estimate, Std error, confidence interval)

Dear All,I have been analysing a two factorial (3*4) RCBD repeated measures design by using the mixed model approach in JMP. Above is a section of the report I got. Why are the estimates zero. Other information include about the analysis include:1. 14 continuous variables measured four times at unequal time periods2. All the three covariance structures I tried (AR1, Toeplizt and spatial power) had...

  • Validate column values (make sure all values in column follow a specific pattern)

Is there a better way rather than iteration of all the rows to validate values in column? Let's say before making something with the column I want to make sure that all values in column match specific Regex. Like so:!IsMissing(Regex(Column(myColumn)[1], "^\w+(\d{3})\w+$", "\1"))I can iterate through each row to make sure that all of them match, but maybe there is a better way?

  • Friedman post hoc analysis

Hello, I am trying to do a matched sample analysis across three different factors. I wanted to:1. Confirm that my sample would be what I pick for 'Block" when I do Fit Y by X when running Friedman's test2. Is there a post hoc analysis in JMP that I can use? I dont see Nemenyi or Conover as an optionThanks for your time.
