  • Weight of specific group in a dataset

In the image attached, I am trying to find out or rather calculate weight of the set of variables in circle in (A). When it is included in the data set it gives an R-sq of 0.59, however, when it is excluded the coefficient reduces to the minimum (B).  How can give a weighted value to the dataset, as I would like to exclude it from the dataset while showing and explaining on valid reasons why it is...

  • column switcher with Tab Box in Application

I am building a dashboard in JMP Pro 16 using Application Builder that has a column switcher and local data filter controlling a few different reports.  I have the reports on a couple different pages of a Tab Box.  The switcher and filter change the reports as expected, but when I switch columns, the Tab Box always switches to TabPage1 if TabPage2 is selected.  If TabPage1 is selected and the colu...

  • It's Groundhogs day again, and I am back to level 1.

Warning: Nothing in this blog is important or worth reading. I have a lot of data to work on and am procrastinating.     I created new SAS/JMP accounts for each company I worked for over the last 20-ish years. So, now I am back to level 1. I don't know all of the accounts, but all the account names are attached to inactive emails anyway. So, being at Level 1 is not a problem, except I recently joi...

  • Survival Analysis not on Time to Failure, but Concentration to Failure

Hello, I am interested in using survival analysis to predict the probability of failure at certain concentrations of a factor.  This is for consumer rejection of a product, modeled as a function of three variables (e.g. concentrations of three different ingredients).  For one of the variables (Y), I am interested in knowing probability of rejection as a function of it and X and Z.    Note:  In par...

  • Update Column Axis Reference Line based on data from another data table

I'm looking to add column reference lines based on data from another data able. An example, using "Big Class" would update columns "weight' and "height" with P50 and P95 values from a lookup data table.   The rows on the lookup data table correspond to the column names in the main table. The reference lines would need to assign the label value from the lookup table column name "P50" or "P95" and t...

  • Building a predicting model for a time forcast

Hello Everyone,   Would you please guide me through my analysis:   I have an outcome for the years 2000-2019 which is based on multiple predictors (a,b,c,d,e)   1- I want to create a model in which I predict the outcome in 2020 where I have all the data for 2000-20019 plus I have the values for (a,b,c,d,e) in the year 2020, and I need to predict the outcome in the mentioned year and then compare i...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Can I share dashboard with specific person in JMP Public?

Hi, I would like to share my dashboard in JMP Public. However, there are only two choices: "only share with me" and "share with everyone". Is there anyway to share with specific persons? Thanks.

  • Changing axis scale with superscripts

I'm wondering how to change my axis scale with superscripts. I am using unicode font to write the superscripts but I am having trouble applying the superscripts to my axis. I want the minimun to be 10⁻¹⁰ and maximum to be 10⁻³. I have attached scrrenshots below of what I'm stuck on. I'm thinking I need to use a custom format but I can't figure it out. Y axis scale needs to be LOG.
