  • How to copy a script to another data table (with same column names) - and make it work

Copying a script for Tabulate in one JMP table to another, that has the same column names, does not work, for me.It only opens the Tabulate function, but does not execute the commands. It doesn't even open Tabulate with the Control shown. I've just copied the script in the first table and pasted it into the other table. Help, please, it'll save a lot of work.

  • Standard deviation and p-value for difference scores?

Does anyone know how to create standard deviations and p-values if you are looking at the difference scores of two averages? I think I have to do a one tailed t-test but I am really unsure how I would do that in JMP.

  • Get and Filter Files in Directory

I have a JMP script to prompt the user for a directory, and then filter for specific file types from within that directory.  My problem is that the filtering process often takes longer than just getting the files.  If the number of files is large (>100,000 files), the total time to collect and filter files can be more than 30 minutes.  Is is there a faster or more efficient way to do this?  I am u...

  • How do I generate a 'main effects' plot?

Apologies for the trivial question. I am interested in determining which of the twenty different variables has an effect on the %Label Claim of a drug product test (analyst, testing lab, input materials, temperature, condition, etc).  I've seen 'main effects' plots generated in Minitab to be able to quickly scan which of these variables have an influence on the mean.  Is this type of analysis call...

  • What does JMP need

Specially with 600k rows and working with complex 30x30 tabulates JMP starts bleeding with my actual laptop (Mid 2010 MacbookPro) and it seems the time has come to purchase a new one. But what does JMP need really to run fast and smooth? What is the most important spec of a laptop which JMP really takes advantage? Is it Processors Cores? Is it Processor Speed? Is it L2 Cache? Is it RAM Speed? Is it Am...

  • Mixture DOE for binary repsonse

Hi All,I need advice with setting up a DoE.The goal of the DoE is to build a (logistic regression) model for a binary response (y) depending on five continuous (x1, x2, x3, x4, x5) variables. The five variables need to add up to 1, hence a mixture response design may be ideal. The response as mentioned is pass/fail depending on the variables combination. In addition, there are constraints on some ...

  • PowerPoint Export of Journal

Is there a way to control the formatting of the exported PowerPoint deck?  The exported file needs so much clean up I am not sure if it saves any time over cutting and pasting.  I made a simple journal from the big class data table and a 1 page journal turns into a 5 page PowerPoint. The resulting PowerPoint is attached.

  • Degrees of freedom in post-hoc t-tests

Hi, I have a question regarding the post-hoc t-tests in JMP. I run a repeated measures ANOVA with one random and two fixed factors. The two-way interaction between the fixed factors is included. (Y=random(A) + A + B + A*B). Following a significant A*B effect, I use the 'effect details' option to do post-hoc t-tests, Bonferroni-corrected for the number of comparisons. But. When I chose 'detailed co...
