I was looking at the certifications for JMP and they have been removed from the website. Is this a typo?

  • Evaluating DoE with (essentially) Run Order as a factor

Hi, I have a relatively simple design that I'm not sure how to evaluate in JMP.
We're trying to find an I-Optimal design for two factors.  One (X1), is a continuous factor with 2 levels and center points. The second (X2) is essentially just the run order times 4. The order of this variable cannot change.  We know that X2 leads to changes in our response and want to properly model it's impact and in...

  • JMP 16 scripting issue for automation (migrate from JMP 15)

Hello Expert, I just started using JMP 16 for analysis report automation (scripting). I'm still migrating some of my scripts build in JMP 15 into JMP 16 and tweaked existing script build in JMP 15 to do other type of analysis reports in JMP 16. I just found out that in JMP 16, the script saved for graph builder "Add Filter" automatically define N items in the filter according to my test data. The i...

  • Changing label in legacy control charts

Hi, often use the legacy control charts, especially IR. Sometimes I want to change sample label from batch# to date and try to do this through the Relaunch analysis function but in the relaunch analysis dialogue it doesn't matter what I choose as Sample label, graph still only remembers the original choice. Any idea on how to fix this except running the IR from scratch?regardsPeter

  • DOE with Three 2 level factors and One 3 level factor that needs blocking

Hello, I am trying to to design a DOE with the following factors:X1   -1   +1X2   -1   +1X3   -1   +1X4   L1   L2   L3 Due to experimental logistics, X4 cannot be changed easily; it requires an entire day to change. The other factors can be changed easily during each experiment. I was thinking of just doing a full factorial DOE design with X1, X2, and X3; and then repeating that same design for ea...

  • How is the standard error of the least squares means found in Fit Model multiple regression

JMP supplies a standard error for its least squares means in the Least Squares Mean Table. How is this standard error calculated given that the least squares mean is a constant using the rules that JMP follows for calculating the least squares means? That is, JMP  fixes background continuous variables at their mean and sums over background categorical variables using equal weighting (which is equi...

  • Data puzzles via Hanukkah of Data is underway

If you're looking for some data wrangling puzzles, the Hanukkah of Data series of daily puzzles is underway at https://hanukkah.bluebird.sh/5783/. They're on day 2 of 8 now. As far as I can tell, you can do them whenever and there's no competitive part. I'm doing them in JMP, of course!

  • Slope and Intercept Collector error "matrix must be non-singular in access or evaluation of 'Inv' , Inv/*###*/(x` * x)"

HI all,I have a question about an error I'm getting when using @stan_koprowski's slope and intercept add-in. I've posted my question on the add-in's thread but due to the much lower exposure compared to discussion posts, I thought that it might be a good idea to ask here as well. I made a mock data table with three groups and several observations in each group. When I run the add-in I am getting t...

  • C Stack Usage Error When Sending Code to R

Hello, I'm trying to invoke some commands in R using the R Submit function in JSL and am getting the error below. Is this an issue with JMP17 and R integration? It only happens when I invoke a specific package using JSL so it's hard for others to replicate w/o installing R and the package as well. I'm using JMP 17.0 and R 4.2.0. Never saw this error with JMP 16. "Error: C stack usage 4123778 is to...

  • How to fix X Axis Settings for Operating Characteristic Curves

I'm playing around with different scenarios on an Operating Characteristic curve in which the fraction defective is very small (screen shot below).  Every time I run a scenario, the x-axis automatically changes to a range that is way too wide to be useful and I have to change it back manually. Is there a way to make the x-axis setting constant? (I'm using Jmp Pro 16.1)Thanks!
