  • General Statistics Question on Response Dependence

    What type of modeling, analysis, and methodology would you use for the following example: Let's say you have factors A, B, and C in a DOE. You capture responses Y and Z. A combination of B+C increases both Y and Z using a specific regression model, and theoretically (from your discipline and experience), you know that response Y is dependent on Z. How would I best represent the relationship betwee...

  • Analysis of Data Using Mean and SD

    I wanted to know if there is a way to run models and perform data analysis when the data is only available as means and standard deviations. While modeling generally uses the mean and standard deviation as metrics to analyze and model data, JMP calculates them and then uses them for your chosen method. Unfortunately, my partners only have the data available as the means and SD per formulation. Tha...

  • Zooming into Picture Box Image

    I have a window that pops up with an image, I would like to have the users able to zoom into the image to see more details but I don't see any zoom capabilities in the window. How can I accomplish this? dt = Current Data Table();
    // Plot bitmap bitmap = New Window( (dt << Get Name()) || " Bit Map", pic_file = Open( file_path, png); pic_file << Set Size( {500, 500} ); pb = Picture Box( pic_file )

  • Interclass correlation in Measurement Systems Analysi

    New JMP user here.  I'm trying to get an ICC for inter-rater reliability data.  I have two raters that each scored one measure from a bunch of subjects.  The dataset is organized as: Subject   rater   score 100          1            43 100          2           41   101           1   etc Is it possible to get an ICC from this type of data?  Perhaps I don't understand what gets coded as what in the ...

  • Exploring sample size for one sample variance

    I have a variance I want to set as an upper bound, with a confidence of 90%. However when I try adjusting the variance, it does nothing to change the sample size. I see this issue for any confidence levels below 95%. It works as expected at 95% or above. I attached a screen shot to show that when I adjust the bound it

  • Meenu Hinduja & Dheeraj Sudan : JMP and Flow Cytometry Data

    Hi everyone, I'm Meenu Hinduja and my hubby Dheeraj Sudan, run a startup business. so I have a question for you guys... Does anyone use JMP to work with their Flow Cytometry data? We use FlowJo to analyze data but would like to use JMP to graph and summarize data. I have been asked to find out if others are doing this as well. Any references to papers that show the use of JMP would be helpful as w...

  • Semiconductor Toolkit not displaying background maps

    Hi folks; I have downloaded the latest Semiconductor Toolkit from Marketplace for JMP 19. I tried to reproduce a set of wafer maps outlined in the tutorial by selecting a 300 mm map as a background map and using the example data set included with the toolkit. When I display my data, the background maps do not appear.  Instead, the heatmaps are all square maps. Has anybody else encountered this?

  • JMP bug or alternate calculation in Life Distribution scale confidence limits?

    Dear JMP, I found a discrepancy between a JMP result and the result in the textbook you cite as a reference.  Is this a bug or does JMP use a different calculation than the textbook? JMP Pro 17.2.0 > Reliability and Survival > Life Distribution platform, fit to a Weibull, Wald confidence intervals > in the Parametric Estimate – Weibull section, all the numbers agree except the scale and Weibull ß ...
