  • Searching a value in a column- JSL

Hi All, Can anyone help me with the search for a particular value in a column and try to find the count of that value with the overall count? In the below example, I am trying to search for value "1" in B column. I found 3 occurences in 10 instances so C is marked with 30%. Similarly for A=2, I found 4 occurence of "1" in 12 instances, so C is marked with 33%.ABC1130%187 190 165 11 165 13 11 134 1...

Normality test is based on the data residual but I confuse how to test the normality in JMP.Should I calculate the residual first and then test the normality?or just straight away test the raw data? Thanks

  • Script for JMP to "display a text box asking for the max, min and target".

Hi, I am trying to create a basic script which analyses my data. When I press the thumbnail linked to the script, I want it to1. Ask the user to input the ranges2. Create a data table which shows the max and min3. Generates a graph with the min, max and the target in it. So far all I can do is get the script for the data table or the graph and incorporate it into shortcuts in JMP separately. I can...

  • Sorting bivariate plots by P-value

I seek another advice on plotting and sorting multiple bivariate plots.I am creating a bivariate fit of about 40 y variables to 10 different x variables[ each y and x pair has separate figure]. I do a linear fit on each one of them [regression] which is simple part.Subsequently, I wish to arrange the plots in order of increasing p-value of the fit, in a journal so the plots with the best fit/corre...

  • statistics summary from jmp table

Dear all, I have a jmp data table as shown in Input data table format below with multiple columns ~50Also the number of rows is flexible it can vary from class1 to class 100 I intend to generate a statistics summary jmp table as shown in output table format.Right now the way I am doing this is very cumbersome as I am hard coding each column name and that occupies much of code.Is there a quicker wa...

  • Extract the data from data table

    hi, all
I now need to create the tabs which is based on my data table(i named as dt2). The names of the tabs is based on the dt2, meant here: if dt2 has 10 products name, so in my interface i also need have 10 tabs which is based on the product names in dt2.
One of my requirement is i cannot hardcode the coding, because in the future, maybe i need to add in the name of products in dt2, so the tabs w...

  • What is the best method for JSL version control?

I created a modeling process in JSL. Now, I want to iterate on the model. For example, I want to test out different model inputs, model settings, etc. However, before I start iterating, I want to decide upon a robust framework for organizing and maintaining all the programs and data tables that will result from iterating. What's the best software for version control? Should I use GitHub or Subversi...

  • Logistic Regression Results Question: Large OR, Small Chisq, No CIs

Hello, Having some trouble interpreting data from a logistic regression. Attempting to determine if various drugs were associated with outcome in a case-control study. Using logistic regression because I want to control for two co-variates (age and site of disease onset). For one drug, the nominal logistic spits out a huge OR, small Chisq, and no CIs (see photo). When I run the model with each co-...

I don't understand why this one is the best by consedering the different values ?. What is the signification of these values ? Thanks,

  • Understanding the Dispatch and Legend Model and what exactly is Base(0,0,0)?

My problem is two fold. Im writing a JSL Function to create some custom charts at work. Everything is working fine. Thats great. But I dont understand why - and I am trying to break down the code. Most of I wrote myself, but some aspects I made the tweaks within JMP, copied the scripts and used the parts that generated what I needed. Some of the code chunks that get added in are intuitive to read ...

  • Data Binding Associative Arrays

I recently had need to create some slightly complex data structures and started to play with associative arrays a little more.  These are similar to dictionaries in other languages.  Where they differ is that most languages to improve speed, when assigning an object in a dictionary to a variable it does a data binding.  Essentially it makes it so both the dictionary and the variable refer to the s...

  • How to Maintain JMP Graphs Table Layout When Copy and Pasting into Word

For years I've had to build sets of graphs using the Fit Y by X platform. The graphs are simple: X-axis is always (1) a character, nominal column and (2) a numeric, continuous date/time column. The Y-axis is always numeric, continuous data (bins, registers, parameters). The result is a list of box plot on the left, time trend on the right. There could be many plots at a time. In JMP 12 (and I thin...

  • Odds ratios for multiway tables

On twitter earlier today, someone asked if the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) odds ratio (OR) test was available in JMP when the stratification variable is not the X in Fit Y by X. Anytime I need to go from two variables to more than two variables, the first place I look is Fit Model. The beauty of fit model is that not only can I use as many variables as I want, but I can consider interactions bet...
