JMP Federal Government User Resources Page

Welcome to the Federal Government User Resources Page

(shortcut www.jmp.com/fedgov

The FedGov page is hosted within the JMP Community.  The community has 40,000+ members, hosts over 400,000 discussions, and has 2000+ file exchange items.  Please be sure to leverage these helpful resources.

The purpose of the FedGov page is to provide easy access to more than 50 short tutorial videos and other defense focused recordings (and slide decks) for users who licensed JMP off the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.  Due to defense network security requirements, many of these users run software that is older than the latest release, JMP 16 (released 23Mar2021).  Recordings using legacy versions back to JMP 12.2 have been preserved here.

The email systems for many defense users of JMP convert HTML content to “plain text” as well as restrict the size and type of attachments.  Links to slide decks and journal articles are provided so that these users can easily access these resources.  The JMP Learning Resources and JMP Topics and Capabilities slide decks are full of useful hyperlinks.

Links to upcoming Defense and Government focused events as well as recently recorded events are provided.  The more recent events and recordings are at the top of the page.  As one scrolls down you will encounter increasing older legacy content.

PLEASE NOTE: FedGov page videos supplement the abundant content - including the 230+ On Demand Webinars - available at www.JMP.com. It is highly recommended you filter this list by application area to find useful content offered by analytics thought leaders, as well as JMP developers and technical staff.  Whenever recordings on the FedGov Page covers similar content (e.g. from a Mastering JMP Series) a link to that video is also provided.

Links to Developer Series Mastering JMP Videos

Recently three JMP Statistician Developers have presented 4 of 6 NEW Mastering JMP webcasts.  The final two will be presented December 2nd and 9th.  These videos dive a little deeper behind the theory and exactly what JMP is doing than the typical Mastering JMP webcasts.  There has also been a lot of good Q&A.  Enjoy.

  1. Ryan Lekivetz from the DOE R&D team discusses Handling Covariates Effectively when Designing Experiments.
  2. Clay Barker from the Statistics R&D team has done three tutorials on using Generalized Regression methods
    1. Using JMP Pro Generalized Regression to Analyze Designed Experiments
    2. Using JMP Pro Generalized Regression to Better Understand Observational Data
    3. Selecting the Appropriate JMP Pro Generalized Regression Distribution for Your Response
  3. Elizabeth Claassen from the Statistics R&D Team has done a series of two tutorials on analyzing Mixed Models
    1. Mixed Models Part 1 - A Critical Tool When You Have More Than One Source of Variation
    2. Mixed Models Part 2 - Handling Repeated Measures -and- Assessing Mixed Model Power and Precision
      • These final two webcasts are scheduled for Dec. 2nd & 9th. Above links are for registration and will be replaced by video links when they becomes available.

Americas 2020 JMP Discovery Summit Online

Custom Fit it to Your Schedule - And it's FREE!

Download sharable PDF with details and links.

Every year since 2010* the JMP Division has hosted a Discovery Summit where our best customers gather to show each other the powerful solutions they are implementing using JMP.  This year is no exception – even though we had to go virtual.  Although I will miss the personal interaction, I won’t miss anything I want to see!

Twenty of the 63 pre-recorded presentations will be streamed live, 5/day, T-F.  You will have the chance to interact with these authors and presenters after their video is streamed in its scheduled slot.  You can begin watching all 63 videos and downloading the slides right now - in whatever order you choose!  Even if you can't make the live plenary talks, recordings of these featured presenters will be available at the conclusion of the Discovery Summit.

This is a great opportunity to get the most out of JMP Discovery without committing large chunks of your time.  It also means that everyone in your organization that wants to see this content can do so – FREE and on their own schedule.  Explore the Agenda and Register today.

Below is my "don't miss" pick from this year's lineup of great talks.

Wed. Oct. 14, 3:00-3:30 ET Paper Presentation

JMP BEAST Mode: Boundary Exploration through Adaptive Sampling Techniques

The authors, Jim Wisnowski and Andrew Karl from Adsurgo, LLC, have built an Addin for JMP Pro that will automatically add trials at high gradient regions of the response. So in a sequential space-filling application of DOE to M&S the Addin looks at the results of the first round of testing and adds new trials where you need the most information to improve the model. View Slides and Pre-recorded Video.

*NOTE: Past presentations going back to 2010 (many of them recorded) can be found on the JMP Discovery Summit Series landing page.

This is one of the best educational resources for new users of JMP.  There are 12 topic categories featuring nearly 100 one-page guides on how to quickly do the most important things in JMP.  Virtually all topics have a companion 1 to 3-minute YouTube "Demo" video.  Many even have a "Take Tutorial" link.  Put together by the JMP Academic Team the Learning Library is one of the hidden gems on the JMP website - so please explore!

Step-by-Step DOE Examples

  • Seven-component mixture DOE with seven constraints - example of "mixture within a mixture" design
  • Ten-factor, four-type-of-factor, with additional constraints, real-world DOE - "everything but the kitchen sink" design

It is a great summary of the resources.

For the Recordings from Webex Week, July 27-30, 2015, I can access them until yesterday. But when I access them today, it says "

Invalid Request

This URL is invalid. Please contact the publisher or your site administrator."  whenever I click any of the URL link.

Could you please figure out and fix the problem at your earlier convenience?

Thanks,

Sorry for the tardy response. I have found out that the recordings were removed from the server hosting them - thus breaking the links in the table of recordings. I am looking into how to get the recordings reloaded to a server and the links repaired. It may be until late next week before the links are all repaired. Thanks for viewing the recording content.

I also notice "For all the link from Summer Webex Week, Aug 1-4, 2016", all the linked pages still show that the seminars are not started yet although now is Sept 3, 2016. Will all of them be updated and become available soon?

Thanks for your help. Look forward to the fix

Leo
