To import from the OSIsoft Pi Server, you must have the PI Web Server deployed and running and the PI Asset Framework installed and configured.
See how to open the JMP OSIsoft PI interface introduced in JMP 17, connect to the server by identifying the server url, authenticate if necessary, set the server name and database to which you want to connect, and then identify the Attributes (tags) you want to import. First, see how to access one Attribute and then how to access multiple Attributes. This example imports the Attribute data and the Timestamps for the time period you specify.
For multiple Attributes, you can identify Sync Time to ensure the Attributes are pulled for the same times into different tables. See how to edit the column names to streamline joining the tables using JMP Query Builder.

PI Server data is typically machine generated and collected at defined intervals that are often short, leading to large amounts of data that might be collectted as frequently as every millisecond.
