background
There may be times when you need to remove all JMP files from your system. To completely remove all JMP system and configuration files from a Windows system, follow these steps:
Note: The following steps require full administrator privileges. If you do not have full administrator privileges on your computer, you will need assistance from your organization's IT department.
procedure
Uninstall JMP
- Go to Control Panel.
- Select "Uninstall a Program" from the "Programs" category (if viewing by icon, select "Programs and Features").
- Find all versions of JMP on your system and uninstall them. After all JMP programs are uninstalled, restart your computer.
Delete the JMP Program folder
- Log back into Windows and navigate to C:\Program Files\SAS\.
Note: For JMP 18, navigate to C:\Program Files\JMP.
- Find all “JMP” and “JMPPRO” folders and delete them.
Delete JMP Customized Data
- Press the Windows key and R key at the same time to open the Run box.
- In the Run box, type %appdata% and press Enter.
This action opens the current user's Application Data Roaming folder (appdata/roaming). If more than one user is using JMP on this system, you will need to navigate to each user's Application Data Roaming folder. The AppData folder is a hidden folder, so you will need to configure it to be visible. For instructions on how to view hidden system folders, see the following Microsoft document:
- In the AppData Roaming folder, open the SAS folder, locate all "JMP" and "JMPPro" folders, and delete them.
Note: For JMP 18, open the JMP folder in the AppData Roaming folder.
Delete the JMP ProgramData folder
- Press the Windows key and R key at the same time to open the Run box.
- In the Run box, type %programdata% and press Enter.
- In the ProgramData folder, open the SAS folder.
Note: For JMP 18, open the JMP folder in the ProgramData folder.
- In the SAS folder (or JMP folder), find all "JMP" and "JMPPRO" folders and delete them.
This will remove all JMP system and configuration files from your Windows system.
