Transparent background color for graphs

What inspired this wish list request?

need to make transparent PNG with graphic script

What is the improvement you would like to see?

Allow graph background color of 'transparent'. This is not the same as the window background color. Currently the graph always creates a rectangle of color, making it impossible to capture an image with transparency.

Why is this idea important?

yes, so close to a wonderful feature, but with the white background ...

Imagine how cool Make into Data table would be with an option to make the background transparent!

It would be extremely helpful if the transparent background was the global default. Many new users aren't aware you can change this in preferences or that there is a preference manager to assist with new installs.
