Text to Columns

What inspired this wish list request? 

Currently, Text to Columns supports only one delimiter. Often, multiple delimiters may simultaneously exist in the data. In such cases, the operation has to be done sequentially.

What is the improvement you would like to see? 

Enable use of multiple delimiters (e.g., space, -, _, /) simultaneously. Also provide users the option to retain or remove the source column.

Why is this idea important? 

Ease of use, increased efficiency.

current Text to Columns accepts multiple delimiters : )
very useful! 

what could be optimized in one of the future releases:

1. add an option how to handle blocks of multiple delimiters:
     Text To Columns: handle missing data correctly 
2. an option to save column formulas [ Word (...)]  instead of just creating the columns. 
   with the current approach one cannot update the data table with new data.
3.  saving list of cols created by text to column
