Stating null hypothesis

When performing certain tests in JMP, the null hypothesis is stated, but not for all.  I found several people are confused by the interpretation of the results for hypothesis tests if the null hypothesis is not stated.  Could a future version of JMP state the null hypothesis whenever there is one to consider?
