What inspired this wish list request?
There seems to be no possibility to adjust settings for the tables menu in the preferences. In particular, for the table>summary function, the box "Remove excluded groups" is always unchecked, and - newly in JMP18 - the output table name is preset as "Summary of ...". (this leads to an error if you take another data table and use the "Recall" button - the resulting summary table will then get a wrong name!)
I cannot find a way to change these presettings and it's annoying to always change them manually.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
I'd like to see the different options for the tables menu similar to the "preferences" menu for the platforms. All the options which can be manually checked/unchecked in the tables operations should be available for preference settings,
Why is this idea important?
In order to avoid lots of annoying manual adjustions (and avoid errors like the one mentioned above)
