Option to Disable Preview and Auto Refresh

What inspired this wish list request? 

Preview for functions under the Tables menu is very useful to check the correct manipulations have been performed.  However, the generation of the preview table can take considerable time if the data tables involved are large.

 

What is the improvement you would like to see? 

Preference setting to allow for the table preview and table preview auto refresh to be disabled by default.

 

Why is this idea important? 

Saves processing time for the user.

Fortunately, the platforms check if the generation of the preview will take too long - and disable the preview automatically.

At least: they try to ...
Due to a bug in the logic of Tables/Update, the preview of the platform can take hours (if there are many identical matches in the input table).

Speed up Tables/Update
