Line annotation: option to generate linecut plot

For line annotations in Heatmaps, could you please add a function to generate linecut plots like in imageJ.

Axes of the new plot:

x axis: position along the line

y axis: "color" value of the Heatmap

Line Profile in JMP? 

As an option, the user can specify

- the "width" (averaging region) of the line

- if the Linecut graph is added to the Line as a Hover Label

@hogi, this is an interesting request, but I think we need more information regarding the use case. Why is this an important feature, and how would you use the resulting information?

After posting this wish, I invested some time to develop a linecut function and put it into my GraphBuilder Toolbar Add-In:

The Add-In is in revision phase, so soon users will be able to use it from there.
perhaps not necessary to include it directly in JMP?

Hi @hogi, you've read my mind! Was thinking that an add-in would be ideal for this, and given the number of incoming requests and priorities for JMP 18, it is unlikely that we'd have the bandwidth to add this to JMP.
