  2. Submit: Post your new idea using the Suggest an Idea button. Please submit one actionable idea per post rather than a single post with multiple ideas.
  3. Kudo & Comment Kudo ideas you like, and comment to add to an idea.

We consider several factors when looking for what ideas to add to JMP. This includes what will have the greatest benefit to our customers based on scope, needs and current resources. Product ideas help us decide what features to work on next. Additionally, we often look to ideas for inspiration on how to add value to developments already in our pipeline or enhancements to new or existing features.

Labelling of iso lines in contour plot generated via graph builder

What inspired this wish list request?

Many countour plots benefit strongly from a labeling of at least some iso lines

What is the improvement you would like to see?

To my understanding, labeling of iso lines is possible for contour plots generated directly from the graph menu but not for a contour plot made via graph builder

Also the labeling is very unflexible - for narrow lines the labeling are overlapping and thus unreadable. The positioning seems to be fixed.

Why is this idea important?

So far I can only make nice contour plots with competition software like origin - would be nice to have a more flexible contour plot in JMP to have the possibility to completely switch to JMP.

Thumbs up from my side.
Labels for contour plot

Graph Builder is such a great thing - it can replace almost all the other (older?) platforms.

but sometimes the other platforms are little ahead.

Then the user has to decide if he need the option and therefore has to switch from Graph Builder to the other platform - thereby accepting to give up all the benefits of GraphBuilder.
