Are there any plans to integrate GAMs (Generalized Additive Models) to the predictive modeling platform. Since the procedure already exists in SAS, one would think it might be reasonably easy to port it to JMP. Many thanks, Yves P.
Yes, as a JMP Pro user I encourage you to please add Generalized Additive Model (GAM) functionality to JMP. Many scientists within USGS develop GAMs. While functionality is available in R, the utility of developing GAMs within the context of the consistent and superior JMP statistical environment would be very helpful.
