Suggestions for new features to aid in better table organization

As a long time JMP user, I would like to make two suggestions for new features.

1. Ability to color code column headers. This would make it tremendously easier both to organize datasets with many columns and also to more easily find columns. This could be integrated with the grouping column function to color code a group of columns. This color coding could also extend to the column list on the side of the table.

2. Second level header. When grouping columns, it would be wonderful to see another header level above the existing levels spanning the group with the group name and color. Again, this would help in column navigation and table organization.

Thanks for your consideration.

Kudos to both ideas. Column Group name should also appear in Column Info Window (and the user should be able to switch it here).

#1: delivered.

Status changed to: Yes, Stay Tuned!

Hello, thank you for this request! 1 is available in JMP 18. I'm not sure I fully understand your second request, but I believe what you are asking for will be in JMP 19.  Column groups will be shown in the data table in addition to the columns list (although they are not collapsable in the table). There will also be the ability to nest column groups. Changing this to Yes, Stay Tuned!, but let me know if I have misunderstood your request!
