What inspired this wish list request?
When working in a JMP Project with multiple graphs, it is helpful to rename the tab to something more meaningful. If you save the graph generation as a SCRIPT, the tab name is lost so the next time you generate it you must rename it again. If you are iteratively improving your graph, you can end up doing this multiple times.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Revise the SCRIPT saving code from JMP Graph to automatically save the Tab name assigned by the user so that it repopulates each time you initiate the script to regenerate the graph.
JMP Tech support identified a work around that you can manually edit in the script. Something similar to this could be made the standard behavior of the SCRIPT save:
Add gb= on the first line
e.g. from
Graph Builder (
to
gb= Graph Builder (
Put the desired tab name in the last line of the script using the following syntax
e.g. gb << set window title ("desired tab name");
Why is this idea important?
Ease of keeping track and locating the desired graph amongst many.
