Delete Duplicate Rows Based on Matching Cells

Hello,

I would like to request a function to be added to the Rows menu to delete duplicate rows based on a matching cell except for the first (or selected) one. Currently, one has to first select matching cells, unselect the first occurence, and then delete the remaining. In a large dataset with several unique sets of duplicates, this can be extremely cumbersome.

Thanks and regards

Hi @MShroff there is a "select duplicate rows" option that operates on selected columns. Does this help?

Not quite - the process to select and delete duplicate rows (esp. when there are multiple sets of duplicates) is quite cumbersome.

Can you please say more?

1) select matching cells

2) create linked subset

3) select duplicates

4) delete

step 1 and 2 can be skipped if any duplicates have to be deleted - and not just duplicates of the selected rows.
